Helping give voice to untold stories of humanity shining or shattering

We are looking for submissions of short project proposals of documentary films or photos. Submissions open in January 2023, grants to be awarded in March 2023.

What is the Daylight Media Fund

The Daylight Media Fund is a part of The Becoming Project that is committed to helping independent artists shed light on the stories that might otherwise go untold. The Daylight Media Fund is currently only supporting moving image creators, be that narrative, documentary, experimental, or anything in between! We hope to support other mediums of work in the future, but currently we are focusing on the moving image.

Participants whose applications are selected will receive $500 and be expected to complete their proposed project by September 1st, 2023. Participants's completed works will then be shown together in the Daylight Media Film Festival (showing or viewing?), time and location TBD.

Who Can Submit

Any independent, moving image artist who is making work that investigates the human condition is welcome to submit!
